How To: The Testing Process

Updated: Mar 26

Healthcare Provider Partners can understand the testing process in five easy steps.

1. Partners must sign up for an account on our provider portal to order kits, register and assign a kit ID to a specific patient and sample*, review patient results, update payment information, and more.

2. Once enrolled, providers can order test kits to keep in office where they can either perform the sample collection for the patient, or send them home with the kit to complete the process themselves.

3. After a blood sample collection is complete, either the patient or provider will then place the collection card in the provided biohazard bag, which will then go into the provided, pre-paid return envelope.

4. Once our labratory receives the sample, we will begin processing results. Our current turnaround time for sample processing is two to three weeks** from a sample being received, to results being viewable.

5. Providers will be notified via email that results are ready to view online, three days before a patient receives the same notice.***

* A provider may register and assign a kit ID (sample) on behalf of a patient, OR, a patient can complete the online enrollment process themselves. The latter is typical for practices that send the sample collection kit home with a patient to complete out of office.

** Due to circumstances beyond our control, it is rare, yet possible, that processing delays may occur. We notify providers of any delays in turnaround times via email.

*** Providers have the option of turning off access for patients to independently view their report results.
